The greatest gift you have to give to this community is your time. For the autumn we are starting a volunteer revolution
Our volunteer revolution is for everyone. As we grow as a church we realise it's the right time to ask everyone to get involved, and serve regularly on a team.
The volunteer revolution will ask everyone to serve on a Sunday team once or month - or if you prefer to serve on a team that leads a midweek programme. We know it's a big change but it's one that reflects our values to be generous with our time and talents and to be growing - both in our impact in our community and growing in our gifts.
All revolutions mean a change to the old order and as part of the volunteer revolution some ways you might already be on a rota - as a parent on the RISE and Ark rota or on the cell admin rota will come to an end if the whole church can come on board the new revolution! We feel it will be much better to invite you to choose where you serve, and create new teams that build excellence and enjoyment into our volunteering.
No-one's counted out, even if you are really new to the church we want to help you get involved.

Rise team - one Sunday morning a month
Come and help to lead our 5 - 11s programme. Every child is different and in the same way we hope to build a really diverse team where everyone brings their own personality, experience and skills to help create a fun environment where our kids are learning about and getting to know Jesus.
Rise cell - every Thursday (early) evening in term-time
Join the team leading a fantastic cell for our 9 - 11 year olds. They love all the fun and games and it's a growing cell with lots of kids bringing their friends along.

Ark team - one Sunday morning a month
Get involved with our youngest group for 2 - 5s. If you love to come to church to play, be creative and hear a really amazing and easy to understand talk then you will love it!

Journey team - one Sunday morning a month
Join the team that leads our 11 - 14s. You dont need to be super confident or know loads of crazy games, but you will need patience and a listening ear to journey with our young people in their walk with God. Being real and authentic is essential.
Journey cell - a midweek evening
We will be creating a new cell so there will be one for boys and one for girls. We're looking for 2 more women and 1 guy to join the team. It's a priviledge to be part of a cell that is growing and exciting; its not always easy but definitely rewarding.
We love Mondays - Monday evening or another evening
If you dont like Mondays, then this team will show to how to love them! A gathering point for our 15 - 18s where we eat together, share life together and learn to be a better follower of Jesus. Were also looking for people who can give support to some new peer led cells.

Alpha team - a midweek evening - a 12 week course twice or three times a year
We want to see more and more people finding more about Jesus and Alpha is a great informal and welcoming environment to bring people to. We want to add 4 more people to the team who love getting to know people, great at listening and happy to help make all the details happen to that Alpha is the best it can be.

Toddler Tribe - every Monday morning in term time
There's a growing community of (mostly) Mums and Dads and a whole tribe of toddlers. We need 4 more volunteers (ideally women) who can help host the morning, get to know the parents and help build the community and organise some great nights out once a term.

Sound team - one Sunday morning a month
OK, you might need some natural ability but we can help give you some training. We are in need of 1 or 2 more volunteers to help out the amazing Matt, Steve, Steve and Malc who are working their socks off!

Screens/AV team - one Sunday morning a month
Serving our worship team and everyone else as we worship and gather on Sundays. We can give you the training you need, and it really is quite straight forward.

Hospitality team - one Sunday a month
Giving everyone a great welcome and great refreshments and in particular helping guests and newcomers find their way and meet new people. We would love to bring the warmth and hospitality so many of you give in your own homes into our Sundays, and build a team that can see this grow and come up with new ideas. These teams will also be hosting a monthly welcome lunch for newcomers to meet new people and find out more about Revs.

Stewarding team - one Sunday a month
If you like giving practical skills, this team will be serving us all by setting up our chairs, tables; stewarding the parking, collecting the giving and helping out with anything else we need practically, and of course the very efficient pack down at the end.

and if you currently serve on the Worship team, we think you're amazing and you dont need to sign onto another team as well! However you are welcome to do so if you just cant get enough of volunteering!
Some of our teams will require a Criminal Records Bureau check as we are committed to safeguarding our children and young people.
As a staff team we are commited to growing all the teams across the church and we will be in touch to place you in the team we think will serve the church best. |
