Church Life

Ishmael (Rev Ian Smale)

You may have heard the breaking news over the past day or so that our good friend Ishmael has been taken ill and admitted to hospital. He has been diagnosed  with 'Acute Myeloid Leukaemia'. He has started treatment with immediate effect.

As so many people in Revs know Ish and Irene so well which they are so grateful for but they are asking to be given a bit of space at this time. Ish is also not in a position at present to have any visitors. The best way to stay in touch is via our website which we will update with news to keep you in touch. If you are wanting to let them know of you support please send an email to getwellsoon@ishmael.org.uk Please pray for the whole Smale family at this very challenging time.

Hi Dan Liz Eggleton here. we would like to have an update on how Ish is please. We have been going onto the website but the news hasn't changed since 8 April around the time when it first broke. Looking forward to seeing you all in July. Lots of love to Ish and Irene and all of you of course!!

Hi Liz. Sorry for no further update recently. So much to keep people posted on in church life at moment. We have been pointing people to Ish's own site which has regular updates (www.ishmael.org.uk). This is the best place to keep posted
