2008 Church Weekend

I find myself excited and encouraged, fresh from our annual church weekend together. Its impossible to think of just one highlight but moments that stood out were the Friday evening with Al Bullen, the re-commitment session and of course the party on Saturday night with over 200 of all ages getting down to the funky sounds of The Deloreans (www.thedeloreansband.com). Fun was also had at the now legendary Revs quiz took place with Cliff Ackhurst at the helm. The aptly named ‘The Winners’ took first place prize. The full children’s & youth programme also proved to be a big hit with those who participated.

The weekend wound to a great conclusion with our Joint Gathering where Maggie Ellis shared with us the story of the ‘Good Samaritan. Thank you to all who made the weekend such a great time especially those working behind the scenes to help things run smoothly.
